I need a Twilight icon.

On Friday night, as no doubt you all know, Stephenie Meyer's latest/last book in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn, was released at midnight parties around the country. tkp and I attended the one at the University Bookstore at the UW ( Read more... )

Oh, lack of ridiculous?? That is a tad disappointing. Ah, well. I love that picture of you and the fortune-telling Edward. It's kind of adorable.

If you want ridiculousness, reading Breaking Dawn will be effective. DEAR HOLY JESUS. I finished it last night, but I keep having flashbacks today. Uughgghg[gurgle].

Seriously. I need you to read this. YOU NEED TO EXPERIENCE IT. Or, more honestly, my misery needs company.

I do need to read it, but like I said, I have to wait for the library copy. Hmm. Looks like I'm "104 of 567 holds on 103 copies." That's not too bad, actually.

Oh, that's not bad at all! Ha. I'm glad you said that, because I was totally going to drop my copy in the mail for you tomorrow. I guess I can wait for one of 103 people to finish.

I thought you might be thinking that, actually, which is very sweet of you. But I'll probably get my library copy first.

LOL I CAN'T READ.

I was looking at the queue for Eclipse for tkp. I'm actually 554 of 908 holds on 284 copies.

[lingers near book]

Just say the word and this can be your pain. (Really, you might be better off just hitting yourself in the head with it.)

Nurghh....

If people actually keep it out the full 3 weeks, that means I'll get it in about two months. If they devour and give it back, it'll be less than that.

God.I don't want to have anyone mail me this damn thing across country, even though I do. It seems excessive.

The fact that we're reading these things in the first place is already excessive. What's a bit more excess? This way, I also get to indulge my need to have another person lashing about in horror with me. You can have tkp read it too, and then I'll just get it back next time I'm in Seattle. (Probably December/January.)

Done. No arguing!

Fine, twist my morbidly curious arm!

Er. Ew.

If I have your book, does that mean you have to meet me? Aces.

Well, I suppose that I could coordinate some elaborate drop scenario involving wigs, getaway cars, and satellite phones... But your way sounds simpler.
