i recorded myself plucking each note individually on the guitar and ive been in the process of isolating each note into its own wav file so i can sequence them into perfectly rhythmic finger picked guitar songs, sometimes in physically impossible arrangements. it has a nice sound to it. so far ive only isolated the notes on the top and bottom ( Read more... )

i'm still looking to record my own version of the Beatles' White Album. not as in covering each song but thematically like that album. rock song. folk song. silly song. Revolution 9. field recordings. found sound. lo-fi. hi-fi. no-fi. a glitchy Tropicalia thing. or Trout Mask Replica revisited. only thing is i can't get out of bed or find inspiration to tackle it today.
the girls next door sound good. the chitter chatter of intergalactic insects. it streamed fine to me.

thanks manny! a compliment from you is a compliment well received! the problem is i rarely ever work on music, so i progress very slowly. hopefully having this out there will inspire me to work more and my stuff will get better. how is the live365 thing working out for shanee? i keep thinking about making a show, but i get nervous that it would be just a minor one time thing and i wouldnt follow up on it, id feel like no one was listening and it was all going to waste. if i knew people were listening id really enjoy making one. is there a tracker to let you know if people are listening?

well, if you find less distractions you can focus on one thing. i find it hard doing this myself.
Shanee's station does well. she gets a lot of high ratings. she can see how many people listen (there can only be up to 25 at a time with her bandwidth). she can't see who unless she pays more, which she doesn't really care. people can rank you as favorites and a few have chosen her as first choice. people have sent her music via mp3 for her to play on the show. she refreshens the sets at least twice a month. she finds a theme, uploads a few songs and the show is set. she flips between that, her sims2 and sometimes me. i sometimes think it's a lot better than the real radio station. in the future we'll be able to hear broadcasts anywhere we go from the internet. and by future i mean like next year.
