And so the new year approaches...

... and just where the heck did the old one go? XD

I've studied Japanese for a whole term now! I can't believe I started in August, and that four whole months have passed since then. I've learned a lot, I've met a few great new friends - I still can't believe how lucky I am, because they are bloody awesome and I'm so glad I got the chance to meet them - and I'm continuing with the B course this spring term and will hopefully learn even more.

And today I ordered an electronic dictionary, which will be very useful from now on, from the brilliant site http://thejapanshop.com The customer service is possibly the best ever; Clay, the owner of the site, has helped me a lot with his advice on which dictionary to buy, and he'll be glad to help out whenever I have problems with it, either through email or Skype. Brilliant. :D

Here's the dictionary I ended up with, a Casio XD-GP9700 (fancy names with lots of numbers ftw!):

It's going to be delivered with EMS, one of the fastest shipping services in the world, so if I'm lucky my dictionary will be here this week. EEEEEEE. Fun! :D I love tech gadgets. Lots of buttons and a touchscreen. Yay. <3

I hope you people have been doing fine. I have. :D I have four exams coming up the 7th and 8th of January, but other than that, I'm feeling pretty darn awesome. :3

My uncle came home for Christmas, which is awesome. It's the second time I've seen him since he got home from California. I'm waiting for him to finish watching Hercules: The Legendary Journeys Season 2, so we can start watching the third season, which I bought for myself as a Christmas present. :D

That's right, there's been Christmas as well! It was niiiice. We were nine people in total here on Christmas Even; my mum, my dad, my uncle, my aunt, my cousin, my grandmothers and my grandfather, and me. Just the right amount of people. :D There were many presents this year - I had got something for everyone for the first time ever, and we had a lottery where everyone brought a random present that ended up with someone else, and then there were the usual personal presents from someone to someone else. I think we had around 40 presents being exhanged in total. :D

The best present I received? I've got to say the CD I received from one of my best friends, Elias: Coldplay's first album, Parachutes. He didn't know what to get me, so I said "I would appreciate that CD :3", and he got it for me. XD It's a brilliant, brilliant, BRILLIANT album, and I can't believe how not a single song is weak. They're all personal, beautiful, and great-sounding, with good melodies that differ between every song. I'm definitely going to get the rest of Coldplay's albums, too. I daresay I own the most important one, though, according to my own opinion. ;)

And I just realized that I have not posted one single picture of my Asian ball-jointed doll, the very pretty Korean creation of http://www.dreamofdoll.com , whom in my hands ended up becoming the English-French sophisticated Lucien Gabriel Surname-Still-Unknown. XD Here you go.

Pretty face. :)

A bit of a close-up:

Quite a strapping young lad, eh? :3 And now when I have my own nice 450D I should be able to a nice photoshoot someday. I just need the urge and inspiration. XD

Anyhoo, you guys. Enjoy the new year. I hope your New Year's Eve will be a nice one, spent in the company of those you love, or maybe on your own, contemplating the year that has passed - it's your choice. :) Whatever you do, enjoy the last hours of 2008!

Cheers and joy and a Happy New Year from Camilla!
