Haven't been on lj like forever... lotsa real life stories to tell, but the procrastinator queen me has procrastinated too much to the point that she can no longer remember much details or has the energy to tell them. =_=''
In summary, Isaac's father had a stroke and minor heart attack which resulted him in being involved in a car accident. He was also robbed while semi-conscious and left for dead till the highway patrol spotted his car at the side of the road. Jury is still out whether he was robbed by the highway patrol or not. He's fine now, well..almost fine with complications on his motory movements and mostly confined to the bed. A lot of stories on how Isaac and his family copes with this, but too much to tell.
I finally resigned from my job of eight years, two weeks ago after they decided to close the current shop, relocate and change the nature of the retail business to another. I didn't want to move over to their new business and called it quits. Finally. I've just started job hunting. Well, actually I've only applied to one so far. Seeing as I should start with one and I haven't job hunted in a decade. I'm feeling pretty lost in terms of the skills, qualifications companies are searching for. It's like learning to walk all over again. There's too much I don't know. I'm hoping to learn, but not sure if opportunities will open up for me soon. A high school diploma can only get you so far. Or, if I should stick with what I know and go back to retail, which I really don't want to. It's a bit depressing, but I'm very much sane..and probably spending way too much time on the internet and watching tv shows to past time. Also, ex-employer hasn't paid my salary since February..and I'm almost down to my last dimes and probably need to start borrowing cash to survive. Which majorly sucks! Argghhh.../flips tables!
Okay, calmer now... gonna go relearn how to write resumes, introductory letters, etc..and by the way, I asked for a referral letter from ex-boss..and guess what she told me? Write one on your own, then just pass it to her and she'll chop and sign them.. *_* seriously?! How does one write a referral letter of self?!!!
