Where am I now?

What a crazy week this has been. I am now back from Georgia and Florida. The past seven days for me have included:

2 hotels
5 airports (this should have been 4, but I'm an idiot)
6 taxis
2 trips on MARTA (Atlanta's commuter subway thingy)
1 trip on a MARTA bus
7 trips on 4 shuttle buses
1 boat
4 personal vehicles
1 rental car
4 states
1 ocean (maybe just Gulf of Mexico, since I'm not sure where the exact divider is)
3 slices of Key Lime Pie
5 mojitos
18 restaurants (fortunately, most of these were not chains)

A short version of the saga - I flew from DC to Atlanta last Saturday to stay with sir_alf and faekitty. The three of us flew from Atlanta to Key West on Tuesday. We were told to leave Key West on Wednesday. There was a mandatory non-resident evacuation due to Wilma. Our original plan included flying from Key West to Atlanta Friday night, and we didn't have the money to buy new tickets or get a new hotel room at a hotel that wasn't closing that day. Calls to airlines and talks with hotel ensued, and the remainder of our hotel reservation was transferred from Key West to a hotel in Miami, and our plane tickets were changed into ones from Miami to Atlanta.

You might notice a gap here. We were in Key West. Our plane was leaving from Miami. How did we get there, you ask? Well, notice one of the above items is a rental car. I went from desk to desk in the Key West airport until I found someone who would give me a one-way rental car to Miami, and we drove. We were in Miami for a little more than a day, then flew back to Atlanta Friday morning, and I flew back here today. Boy, are my arms tired.

Anyway, it was more of an adventure than we had planned, but it was still mostly fun. I would also like to state for the record that Wilma is still stalled out over Cancun, and is nowhere near the Keys. Fuckers. We would have been fine staying until Friday.

Oh, and I am somewhere around skip 340. I'll be a little slow for a while.
