Man With a Past

You know, I don't even remember who wrote it. All I do remember is that it's a Harlequin.
I read it because I've never really read any romance novels. The last time I tried (I think I was in high school, possibly first year university) I couldn't get past the first chapter. This time I made it all the way through, but it was close.
Man returns to home town after 10 years in prison for killing his baby girl. Everyone hates him. Meets lonely widow with young child who needs a handy man. He takes the job and insists he didn't kill his kid.
She finally believes him and miraculously helps prove that the premature infant died of rare but possible medical complications, based on his account of what happened that night. Whole town changes their mind about him, they get married and live happily ever after, blah blah blah.
Thank gods for libraries.
