My WICKED Awesome ONE SHORT DAY in the EMERALD City
So yesterday I went to school. I got picked up after 6th period and went home to get a sweatshirt and stuff. My dad, my brother, and I took the train to the city, then the subway to 59th street. We had to walk a block or two to get to the diner where we were having lunch. So we got there, and my dad's friend Carol was there. Then all the other people came. People who were doing reports on Wicked, people from the official Wicked fan club, and two people from England with the best accents! Then Stephen Schwartz came and it was really cool because he is so nice and everyone just asked him questions about his work and about the making of Wicked, all the collaborations and how he wrote the music and everything.
After lunch we went to the Borders book signing. People there: Stephen Schwartz, Gregory Maguire, and people from the cast (I don't know all their names): Elphaba, Boq, Fiyero, Dr. Dillamond, Nessarose, and the Wizard. There was a really long line so we couldn't go in, but Stephen Schwartz wrote us a note saying we knew him and could go in so we did and got the autographs. But Idina Menzel had already left and that was sorta dissapointing. Joel Grey (sp?) had left also but we saw Harry (Jaime's dad) and he took our book to get it signed by him. I wanna be a limo driver!!
Afterwards we went out to a diner with the Sahr family. Then we went to "Aunt Nancy's". Don't ask. Then we went home and slept a lot.
Set painting today was fun. Emily came. Then we walked back to her house, hung out a while, then went to see Secret Window and it was really really good and I'm totally in love with Johnny Depp.
