I forgot to take one of my medicines last night so I was super groggy today. Nonetheless, Mike and I got up early and finally dropped of the recycling. It felt good knowing that we (Amanda and I, and by default our husbands) had saved so much stuff from going in the trash. This picture was taken about halfway through the collection process:
We ended up with about twice this much before we took it in. Next time I won't wait so long, ha! I also found out that they take old broken TV's (we have one) and broken DVD players (we have two), so I'll be taking those in next time.
We also got a squirrel feeder for our 2 little friends in the trees. Poor babies, they're so little I worry if they know how to find enough food. (Back story: I've discovered 2 little-bitty baby squirrels who have apparently been abandoned in one of our trees. They are old enough to climb around by themselves, but not old enough to know to run from us or the dog. One laid down on the ground next to me and went to sleep! I've picked one up before to save him from the dog, and I couldn't resist petting him a little. I hope if we feed them they'll stay around.)
