Gmarket shopping tips and #5 haul
A lot of my friends are still not purchasing from Gmarket because they are not familar with Korean language and how to find the items they want.
Together with my #5 haul, I will write some tips how I select and purchase my items from Gmarket.
Lets look at what I have got this round....
1) Pink Sandals
During winter, it can be hard to find suitable shoes for our weather here, but if you are finding winter wear, they are everywhere !
I bought this light pink sandals for chinese new year, during this chinese new year season it is really hard to find shoes in the shops, I been looking around but they are running out of sizes, luckily I found these in Gmarket.

#Tip 1 : How to select the correct color
There are 2 ways that I used. 1) Keep a list of common color in Korean, e.g pink = 핑크, purple = 보라
2) Select the color that you thought is the correct one, add to cart and then go to your shopping cart, copy the Korean wording of the color and paste in google translate to check your color
2) Sling Bag
This cost WON6900, its a steal. But do not expect too much on the quality at this price.

#Tip 2 : Buy from reliable seller
I always try to buy from seller with good customer service or fast delivery or both. This is to avoid waiting a long time for your item to be delivered and having to haggle with the seller for refund.
3) Daal story
I bought this first care serum when there are a sale going on , the seller give me a bag of shower foam sample. Take closer look at the serum, there is plenty of gold bits in it.

#Tip 3 : Skincare that suit you
Most seller provide detail description of the skincare product they are selling with pictures and charts and reviews even but they are mostly in Korean, how do you know if the product that interest you are suitable for you ?
What I usually do is to google the brand name or the product name. It usually give you the website of the brand, some reviews or other english shopping site that may tell you about this product. Well, if you really can't find any....either take a gamble or forget about it.
4) VOV face masks
I love paper face masks, they are a necessity for me and they super convenient. This seller actually include 2 free packet of what seem like a fabric softener, which is actually heavier then my face masks. This is reason how I got to top up for my shipping charges instead of receiving a refund for excess....:(

# Tip 4 : Face Masks
There are really cheap masks out there, so are they good for your skin ? I have tried, I must say they don't harm my skin at all, and maybe does give some moisture to my skin but no...they do not do wonders to my skin. In Gmarket, you usually pays for what you get and you won't go wrong with reputatable brand. Try grab those good masks when they are on sales, there are always good deals around, in Gmarket Face masks = Pack
5) Nails supply
I love to get stuff from this Konad seller, I am into stamping all because of Gmarket. It just make things too easy to get. Colourful nail polish, nail care, accessories...etc

#Tip 5 : Nails
Get your nails supply from Gmarket market, there are so many good nail polishes here. And yes, they are real cheap, and the quality are really not bad, the colours are very pigmented. And most Korean brand polishes has flat nail brush which I like. You can get the same brands and type of polishes in Korea street, if you are still worry, do a google search on the brand...read a review.
6) Neoflam knife
Ok, very unlikely things to get online, maybe could be prohibited too ! I saw good review on these knife and got it ! And they are really good, very sharp and sturdy, easy to clean. I really like them.

#Tip 6 : Item weight
Have you notice what is the item weight of the stuff you purchasing ? The seller put some estimated weight and you pay for that upfront first and got a refund or top up when the actual items got weighted at the packing centre. Some seller actually put a really high weight estimate and imagine you got to pay a higher shipping charges because of this. I have learned this and make sure the item weight is reasonable before purchasing.
7) Luggage cover
Why do I need luggage cover ? Someone behind the luggage handling department at the Italy airport ripped my Samsonite luggage label, zip. My luggage is now brandless. So I thought a luggage cover may help.
