There is no doubt that the Christmas season is in full-swing. I feel it's late enough in November to actually acknowledge it and start planning. That means gifts, gifts, and more gifts. I already have a mixed CD for
deense which, once the label and jacket are completed, will be on it's merry way to TLDU. The question is - who else wants something from me and, if I have to mail it, what is your mailing address? Best to send it to me via email at david.annable at gmail dot com, that way the crazies roaming the INTERNET can't get it. Seriously folks, I'm feeling downright festive this year so don't be shy.
My life has consisted primarily of living in the squalor and filth that is my house and trying to distract myself from same. That means plenty of video games and recreational substances. It's working - barely. The new 360 wireless racing wheel I picked up on Friday afternoon certainly helps. That thing is amazing. The wheel is force feedback and is built in such a way as to accommodate being fastened to a tabletop (or similar surface) or placed directly on one's lap. The peddles are well sized and have a great feel. The controller breathes new life into older racing games (Burnout, NFS:MW) and promises to make future racing games all the better. Gears of War also continues to thrill in co-op mode and we've almost finished it. Sometime soon, I'll have to hop online and see it's worth its salt in that arena.
Other than that, we're sorta coasting through these few weeks. Plans for a vacation have fallen through due mostly to the added and unexpected expenses arising from the reno. Maybe someone (ahem) has a nice living room we could camp out in? Come on. Would it really be so bad? I'd bring my X-Box and let you play it?
Fine.
Ingrates.
