If I survive this week, it will be a miracle.
Not counting Monday (which was, as most holidays, decent), the week began with me nearly slipping into a diabetic coma (3am) and then waking up with the worst headache as a result. For those that are just tuning in, when your blood-sugar drops, you'll tend to break out in some pretty severe cold sweats. Sweating that much causes you to dehydrate which gives you a headache. All caught up?
Then there was work. Normally, I'd be tickled pink to have a short work-week, but this one is more of a hindrance than a boon. See, classes start here at the University next week and the new building is still far from ready. No data projectors, no podium computers. Fuck, no podiums in some rooms. It's all been a travesty of poor planning and missed deadlines. I'm assured that this is just the way of things here at the University and not to take it too personally, but I can't help it.
So my plate is overfilled with tasks to the point where I'll undoubtedly be working evenings this week. I don't expect that it will calm down for a few weeks, but the crunch won't be as extreme. If I hear "we have a class in there at 9am on Monday morning, it has to be ready" one more time, I'll puke all over everything.
Lets see what the students think of that action.
