My loving wife subjected me to this which is disturbing and hilarious.
The 2nd last Friday before Christmas and I still don't have my shopping finished which means it gets crammed in to this weekend. I'm still not 100% sure what we're getting people, but - when all else fails - the gift card is king. Oh, and to anyone from St. Catharines who might think that I might come for the cafe X-Mas shin-dig *cough*chris*cough*- think again. As I said, I have too much shit to take care of and not enough time to do it in. Sorry dudes.
I mentioned yesterday that I had my eye on the BlackBerry 8700r. As things turn out, I'm expecting to have mine by the end of the day today. Long story, but basically the University was about to put an order in for a bunch and I called at the exact right time to order a couple. Nifty.
Also mentioned yesterday was the homebrew Sodoku game for the PSP. I got it installed last night and it's pretty sweet. The MP3 playback is an especially nice touch. Well, I think it's a nice touch. I'm still running the 32 meg flash card that came with the PSP and, as such, don't exactly have any room for MP3s. Still, I think even a great game like Lumines could benefit from the ability to cue up user-created playlists. It seems so obvious that I wonder why they chose not to do it. Smacktards. Also from the cavernous pit of PSP homebrew on the internet, a geek application for a geek's handheld gaming device - huzzah!
And elsewhere in the fucking stupid world of commercial video game entertainment, I think DOA4's release date may have finally settled down and stayed put on the 21st. I can't even describe how badly I'm chomping at the bit for this game. When I discovered that I'd won a 360, it was the game that grabbed my guts with both hands and twisted them around until they were strewn about the room. Pretty picture, eh? Love that? Yeah? Yeah? Thought so. IGN and everyone else seem to be as geeked out about this title as I am. Oh, and speaking of geeking out, I'll admit that I was a tad jealous when I saw that the n-gage was getting an exclusive RIFTS game. I even got a little mad. I's all like "what the fuck?! who makes an exclusive game for the N-Gage this late in its life-cycle. It's already an admitted failure. How dare they!" but then I saw the screen-shots. Have your shitty game. Have it up your shitty, side-talking asses.
