A Deer Through The Window

Spent the night and day in Brampton with friends.  We drove out to a small town on the outskirts to find a pub that had been sampled and enjoyed in the past.  We found it after a somewhat lengthy drive through dusky autumn countryside, only to discover that it was closed.  A small sandwitch board sitting against the exterior of the building declared frankly: "An injured deer crashed through our window.  We are temporarily closed for repairs."  This pub was in the midst of a downtown area.  Sure, it was a typical Ontarian small town, but having grown up on one not altogether unlike it, I can honestly say I've never witnessed a deer, injured or otherwise, rampaging through the downtown streets.  So we ended up having chinese food that made us feel sick.  That's how we celebrated Halloween.

We'll be heading back to K/W soon.  I think I'll order one of these.  It's cool and my current keyboard is dying.  It's old.  It's allowed.

hardware, halloween
