Surfing the sine wave

I got a good lead on a contract job in Cambridge today. The interview for said job is tomorrow afternoon at 1. Good money (5k more a year than my last job), and from the sounds of it, a decent chance that the contract would turn into a full-time position.

I must say, when I heard that Dead Can Dance were on tour again, and that they would be coming to Toronto, I was overjoyed. I was even happier when I scored some awesome tickets for the show on October 1st. But one bonus I didn't anticipate coming from this tour was all of the live recordings that have become available. Some are bootlegs (and, hence, of widly variable quality) but there are a good number of official recordings that the band has made available. The one I'm listening to now is a 2 CD compilation of the best recordings of each song from their european tour. Spectacular. Makes my anticipation of the concert (less than 4 weeks now?!) even stronger.

So now we begin slipping down the back of the seasonal sine wave toward Autumn - my favorite time of the year. The cool breezes and broken-clouds of fall seem to be infused with a strong dose of sense-memory for me. It's moody. I like moody.
