i've never forgotten all our yesterdays.

so it's almost been a week since i've been here and if this week was an indication on how fast the first year is going to go, then it's not going to be too bad. college life is actually pretty awesome. i have no real worries right now because of all the freedom i have. i have class less than 13 hours a week, found that kind of cool. i've only met a few people and they're all cool which is good, but no one will ever replace everyone back at home. hell no. the bathroom situation isn't too bad even though i don't like sharing a bathroom at all, but i'll get used to that i guess. the kid down the hallway attempts to make his own music....yeah, he's pretty bad. i swear i'm going to become black by the time i leave. i feel like i'm in the city with all the rap music coming out of every dorm room in my hallway. i just need to buy that tupac/snoop dogg poster i saw at the poster sale and i'll be set. hahaha. there's absolutely nothing to do here during the day. monday, wednesday, and friday i'm done with classes by 11:50 leaving me with a lot of time to do nothing. i guess once i start getting a lot of work that might change, but i don't see myself getting a lot of work in any of these classes. i'm sick of the food already, which isn't really a good thing since i've only been here a week. guess i'll just have to deal with that one. as for the night life, it's pretty crazy, just because there's parties every night at more that one location. they aren't the same though. partying with people you don't know in a packed out house with blasting music and little lighting isn't that fun. although, the beer is free. probably the only good thing about these parties. i'm going to stay away from the party scene for a little while though i think, maybe only go out on the weekends just to keep up with my work and so i don't start gaining weight because of beer. i've started to run around the side streets at night to keep in shape, since i eat terribly and don't do anything active like i did back at home like frisbee. i miss being able to play frisbee and volleyball whenever i wanted. i miss playing the drums. i miss my own bed and bathroom. i miss driving. basically, i miss lindenhurst and everyone i left and everyone that left themselves.

i seriously can't wait for breaks just to get back with everyone and party and hang out like we used to, because those were the best times. it's nice to know that i have a lot of them, they're all decent in length, and they're all close to each other. so until then, i'm going to have to make the best of being away from home and enjoy myself.

see you all in three months.
