The woman in charge of the bulimia protocols at NYSPI called this morning. I am apparently too depressed for them. (It is totally beyond me why these people seem to believe that these things can be treated independantly when, well, obviously they CAN'T) Then she gave me a bunch of referrals to other hospitals, the only one of any repute being Hopkins. I'm getting kind of tired of chasing rejection like a rabid dog.
I called to try and reschedule with the psychiatrist at the Uni hospital. . . apparently they need to have a team conference and order in Chinese to discuss this and they're going to call back in 1-2 weeks. I really hope they don't shut me out. (I also *really* hope that they can give me enough parking vouchers that I can actually manage to do it if they do let me in). I've been waiting 2 days (literally- I left the message first thing Tues. AM) for someone from thresholds.org to call me back about case mgt. services. Just to make an appointment!
