Philly update
I really wish that i had internet. right now im at the school that i work at in between the school day and our after school program. ive been keeping a written journal, but this one has unfortunately gone abandoned. Philly is ok, just ok. city year doesnt make me happy, but i am still glad that i joined. I dont really like the other people in the corp, but ive started doing work in my school so its getting a little better. im currently working on a college/resource fair and thats keeping me very busy. I also just observed one of the classes im gonna be in for the first time today. its an 11th grade english class, but it certainly doesnt seem like it. im gonna be teaching some of the kids how to read cuz theyre only reading on an elementary level. Plus, im working on a project doing service learning projects w/ kids who have gotten in-school suspension. that is in the planning stages right now. I also have a second job at Qdoba, a fast food mexican place that is kinda like baja fresh but better.
i cant wait til thanksgiving. i desperately miss everyone. im sooo homesick. i miss brandon so much, i really wish that i got to see him before xmas, that seems so far away! Oh, bubba came to visit me this past weekend. that was good fun. nothing worth writing about since this entry is already pretty long. most of u talk to one of us so if you wanna know the details you can get them.
so lets see, since the last time i wrote... the sox won the series WOO! the pats lost to pittsburgh BOO!!! and Bush won the election, we're all DOOOOMED... I'd agree w/ the people who said we should all move to canada but right now im not very happy with them. maybe ill move to Britain i heard that the British guys like our accent.. hehe. ok i think thats all i need to write about, write to me guys! i really wanna get letters! i really miss everyone so much and i cant wait to see ya'll. ill try to update this again sooner than the last time.
