(no subject)
uni is driving me around the bend.
The John Mac has been my hiding place for the past 2 semesters, pretty much entirely. I really can't keep this up though, C programming needs to be done this weekend, and hopefully i'll get it done.
We've got things to be doing/purchasing for Subcity, but thats actually kindof exciting. Getting the studio fixed is a thing which is going to drive me for quite some time. eventually i'll get photos of it sorted out on here, so that people can see why i've actually kept myself away from the internets.
We did however did a (somewhat shambolic) night in the art school last friday, and considering the competition (goldie for one.. :\ jesus, that was cruel), we did pretty good. we made a really good night of it, and some of the sets were quality. the Downside? we didn't get the damned thing recorded or even broadcast, damn it!
but the Night that i advertised previously, the Hi-fi, that went down a storm, and we have a great recording of that one. i've got the Frantic Ant and Black Static on my iTunes currently. It was a good one.
i just hope we can sort things for the next years events faster, we're hoping some people show a real interest in running events next year, cause shaun and dave were trying to soundcheck a band, while i was trying to find needles for one of the sets of decks in the vic bar and tim was trying to get people to do the door, and there were people trying to get in by this point! heavily shambolic and disorganised.
I got myself a Powerbook G4, which is tasteful, and currently being used to write this entry.
I need a new job, cause that one's been a huge drain on my system, causing me much pain and misery.
Oh well, i've got a Gig to do the Sound for on the 21st in the GUU. Richard Youngs/Tight Meat Trio and Heather Leigh, it should be interesting.

the next few weeks are going to be punishing, but who really cares anymore.
