Holy fucking shit, what a great movie is Sin City>?1 Not much to say at the moment as I'm too lazy to write it down for the 30th time (have already explained vie the trusty IM) but I must say I applaude the director's choice of Silvestre Revueltas' Sensemaya as the music during the most climactic scene of the movie. I mean... how good can you get?
P.S. If you aren't in orchestra this term you might not know that Sensemaya was the supposedly really obscure piece we played in the last concert. It featured 7/8 time, 7/16 time, (5 1/2)/16 time, high G flat on the oboe in unison with the piccolo, repetitive bassoon lines, an chaotic interludes. All in all a great piece, although some kids hated it (mostly bassoon and some string people, maybe with good reason)..
