WOW, LONGEST WEEK OF MY LIFE. Shit felt more like 5 weeks rather than 5 days. I can only hope that I get used to it. PRAY FOR ME, GUYS. And if you don't pray, then at least wish me luck. I deserve it. |:
First period, English, is a pretty cool guy. Other than the fact that I am surrounded by assholes (and Kasey). I'm not even kidding. A diagram:
So yeah. But other than thaaat. . . I like the teacher! We're gonna be reading Lord of the Flies during the second 9 weeks, and I am strangely excited for that.
Second period, Art Appreciation, is uh. Cold. Very, very cold. Not sure why. And the teacher's pretty much like, "I DON'T CARE WHAT Y'ALL DO. JUST DON'T BE RETARDED." Of course, he didn't say it like that. He said it in a much more professional way. I don't think I'll be looking forward to this class. ): I do however think that it is a one semester class, not a whole year. Please god let it be true.
Also, we got to pick where we sit, and I chose a table that had no one at it because it had no one at it, and when I sat down. . . I realized that there were swastikas on my table. Somehow, I was not surprised.
Third period, Geometry, SUCKS ASS. My teacher is rage-inducing. She LITERALLY. LITERALLY. Closes her eyes when she talks. ALL THE TIME. And she repeats herself over and over and over again about one specific thing in the lesson. Idk how I'm gonna be able to deal with her the whole year.
Fourth period, French, on the other hand, is ~amazing~. My teacher is ~amazing~. On the first day, a student she had last year, in French 1, I assume, saw her and was like, "You're pregnant!" (She is). And the teacher was like, ". . . What?" And the chick repeated herself. Teacher was like, "WHAT?" Chick repeats herself again. And the teacher looked down at her stomach and, completely shocked, was like, "OH MY GOD." It. . . it was hilarious. Also, we got to pick our own French names! And she's gonna use them to address us the whole year. And we have to use them when we head our papers. I chose Ancel, a boy's name (of course) that means "divine helmet." My other choices were Anastasia, Nel, and Jori. Nel was really cute, but I decided that Ancel was the best. \o/
Lunch is a very happy time for me. Because, I can't remember why, but Sarah has first lunch with me, even though her class is on the first floor. (If your fifth period is on the second floor, you have first lunch; if your fifth period is on the first floor, you have second lunch. Usually.) This is, of course, the only time I get to see her, other than in the halls, so yay. ;-;
Fifth period, Psychology, is pretty sweet. THE TEACHER IS FREAKIN' AWESOME THOUGH. He also teaches AP Psych (I'm in normal, which is only one semester, whereas AP is a whole year) and World Religion, both of which I'm totally gonna take next year. But dude, he went to college and majored in World Religion. The year before he got his degree, though, he decided that he wanted to travel the world. So he sold all of his stuff, and bought a ticket to freakin' India, where he became a monk for seven years. He wandered around in India, teaching people meditation and some other stuff that I can't remember. Then he came back to the US, finished college with a degree in psychology, and proceeded to work at a psych ward for three years. I'm not sure if he could be any more perfect for teaching World Religion/Psych.
Sixth period, Chemistry, also sucks ass. I dislike the teacher. That is all.
Seventh period, AP World History, is the class I have with Marelle! She makes it fun. ;-; She missed the third day of school 'cause she felt shitty, and during seventh, I was a mess. It was just veeeeery awkward for some reason. But uh, I. . . don't know how I feel about the teacher. She seems really new to me, but she's been teaching there for more than 5 years. Also, she won't let us do our outlines on the computer. /sob
SO THAT'S PRETTY MUCH IT. Goddamn I hate school. Summer, come back to meeeeeeeeee.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaanywho. . . I've been playing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor lately! At first, I didn't think I'd like the battle system at all, but as it turns out, it's actually really fun. I also love Atsuro. Atsuroooooo~~ But I HATE how they're forcing Yuzu on me. "HEY DUDE IS THAT YOUR GIRLFRIEND?" "Uhm. No. We're just friends." "LOL SURE WHATEVER YOU SAY MAN. I SEE HOW SHE LOOKS AT YOU." I DON'T WANT HER. I WANT ATSURO. DAMMIT.
Also, fml, I've been relating stuff to Oofuri a lot lately. My psych teacher was talking to us about ways to calm ourselves down, because the books talks about the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. My mind almost immediately jumped to MAN ON THIRD and Shigapo. And I had a quiz in World History, and three of the answers read:
