Did anyone else know that Chuck Palahniuk came out with a new book? It's called Pygmy. Mom and Harley saw it at Target today and thought I would be interested, so they bought it. FUCK HOLY HELL I HAD NO IDEA PYGMY WAS OUT ASKLJFALFJ! Ordering that business off of Amazon ASAP. I've been a huge Palahniuk fan for the past four years, but Snuff made me want, almost, to rob him of his writing ability. It was awful. Here's hoping he gets over his whole "I'M GOING TO SEE IF I CAN TOP MYSELF AT BEING EXPLOITATIVE AND GROSS" deal and write a decent novel again.

I was gonna go out and buy Snuff when it first came out, but then I read your entry on it and decided it probably wasn't worth it. T-the reason why I didn't even know about Pygmy, really, was because I figured you would mention any of Palahniuk's new books, so I never thought to check. Also, the premise of Pygmy sounds way better than Snuff's. Like I said, though, the writing style is sliiiiiiiiiiightly confusing.

No, it wasn't worth it all. I think I mentioned Pygmy once, like, a few months after Snuff came out, but I kind of forgot about it, and now it's suddenly out! We were both caught off guard!

Man, that's trippy. I hope the story makes up for his more abstract, Beat Generation-esque writing style, since his characteristic minimalist writing style is what got me into his works in the first place.
