Well, all went according to plan. After my AP test (which was the most long and boring test I've ever taken), I called home and told Jacob to tell my mom that I was staying after the test to make up an English test. Then I raced over to Pier One and got my mom this really cut candle thing (she already has one, but this one was in a different color, and even I thought it was really cute). Then I went to Food Lion to pick up the cake, and then got her two balloons. Once I had gotten everything, I called Jacob and asked him to stall my mom by telling her he needed to show her something on the computer. So when I got home I got everything together and hid it downstairs in the basement. Then once everyone had eaten dinner and my mom was relaxing upstairs in her room, Jacob and I lit the candles (24 to be exact, but her real age is 28. It's an inside joke between us). Once the candles were lit I called her down to "inspect" the kitchen, and when she came down the lights were turned off, and she was surprised with a cake! She was REALLY surprised. She even started crying. And I knew that she didn't expect it because she told my sister-in-law earlier that she just had a quiet and easy going birthday. So I felt really touched when she told me just how much she appreciated what she did. Anyways...I also found out that my uncle sent her flowers and my dad had sent flowers to her work. So yeah...good day over all for me (except that stupid AP exam, lol). I'm just hoping the rest of week will be as good.
