Merlin disappeared months ago without a word. Arthur gets some surprising news from his sister on Merlin's whereabouts and he goes to confront him- determined to win him back despite the odds.

The day Mr Emrys accepts the Queen's request to form the next government is also the day his enemies choose to act, orchestrating an assassination attempt. The attack also seems geared towards taking out the PM's conspicuously magical son, eighteen-year old, Merlin.

The surrogate mother of their baby dies in childbirth and the baby is under severe medical control because he could not make it through the first week. Merlin makes himself sick by standing at the child's side day and night and Arthur is worried that if he doesn't make it, Merlin would be destroyed.

When Merlin wakes up in a bed that it's not his boyfriend's, he realize he has truly fucked up this time, and it's not sure he will forgive him this time.

Merlin is a teacher and Arthur his student (I don't want the age gap to be really big though like this is Merlins first year teaching or something) and Merlin thinks that Arthur is a total slacker and puts no effort into his work. Except he does, but Uther is abusing him at home and it makes life a lot more stressful and leaves less time for work.

They grew up together in an orphanage, never adopted. It's basically them against the world, as best friends, lovers as they get older. Even when they turn 18, they stick together since they only have each other. Eventually, they get their happy forever.

Reason can be up to author if wanted, however) until one day he runs away from home, spending the night on what happens to be Merlin's doorstep. Arthur is a boring history teacher, shy and quiet with no real life...Morgana is his sister, a famous rock/pop star who parties and sleeps around, Merlin is Morgana's new drummer, Gwen is a fellow teacher at Arthur's school. They all meet at one of Morgana's concerts.

Merlin's first love was Lancelot, the second was Gwaine. They remain friends even when things didn't work out between them. Along comes Arthur and Merlin is smitten with him. Lancelot and Gwaine decide to vet him to make sure he is good enough for their Merlin. Cue shenanigans.
