i got a jury summons for me to appear on monday at 9:30. if i can't make it, i'm supposed to mail the card back stating why. first of all, do i dare send it when they might not even get it back by then? second, i personally have no problem with doing jury duty, but where i don't have a car and the court is way the fuck up in poughkeepsie, how am i supposed to do that? i checked the bus schedule, and the earliest i could get there is half an hour later than i'm supposed to appear.
