That was beautiful. So quiet and I felt it soooo much. I loved the symbolism with the water overflowing in the bathtub. I loved how I could see Sirius pacing and Remus trying to ground him. I loved all the unspoken confessions and appologies. I really liked the hair cut too... the whole story was about healing and forgiveness and how it was a silent, gradual thing.

I think eprime said it perfectly: quiet, lovely, ache-y and sweet.

Guh... this was just lovely on every level. Bittersweet and achey, it just really spoke to me. I don't know how to explain it but it did. Granted, it's one of my favorite periods in the R/S mythology, but it really excelled even beyond that. (BTW, I mean mythology as in "large in scope and meaning" not as in being untrue.)

From the first moment of their reunion to that last, lovely image in the bath, I adored this. There is so much emotion without being the slightest bit over-the-top or overly fraught with pathos. I just had so much sympathy for both of them.

And it was extremely well-written. Siriusly, it was one of those, I-want-to-quote-the-whole-thing-back moments. But I will curb that urge and leave you with the first passage that really made me want to cry:

I'm not really a R/S fan (I personally like a bromance between them), but this was really beautiful. I love the imagery you manage to create with your words, which were carefully chosen and perfect. I especially loved the part of Remus cutting Sirius' hair because I can see it in my mind. So lovely and very well done!
