I quite wisely don't let screaming people (chicks or otherwise) near my itchy pants.mwittierApril 15 2006, 05:18:44 UTC
The funny thing is I had no idea where I was calling whenever I talked to Michael, really. All he ever said was that he was "in Canada." The site was based in Toronto, but I don't know if the webcam was there, if that makes sense. I do know that it was part of some huge bar complex. And that there was graffiti behind the pink curtains. There was a lot of turnover during the five weeks I paid attention to the site; lots of holes in the schedule where no one showed up. I moved from that apartment and was offline for about a week, and when I came back online, the site was gone, which was probably good.
I have written shameful amounts of ad copy in my lifetime, and published a short story in an obscure literary journal when I was about twenty-two. I have been working on a couple of writing projects for far too long, and will likely never do anything significant writing-wise because I make way too much money at my day job. Even more significantly, I'm way too self-loathing to re-read anything I write, so everything has to sit at least a year so that it seems unfamiliar enough to read objectively. Sometimes longer, and I'm still mortified. But thanks, sincerely, for the kind appraisal.
