The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

So yesterday I woke up at 6:30 so I could get ready to go take those dumb SATs. Picked up Mike and Pat and we were off to Coughlin for over 3 hours of utter misery.

After the SATs wrapped up, I went to the Crossins to babysit for a while. Then it was back home until Mike called me so we could go to band practice. So we get to Casey's house, and his mom told us that Casey got called into work. So Mike and I drove around for a bit, stopped at Sheetz and BK and then went to my house. Sat around on the porch glider, went to the park and goofed around, walked to Dairy Queen, ran into Erin, Cara, and Rachel, and then walked home.

After that we just sat in my backyard for like the longest time. It was kind of cool. We just sat and talked... and got just about everything out. Everything I felt I couldn't tell another soul I think at this point I've told. Darkness came, and he brought out his guitar, and I smelled my lilac bush. I love lilacs!

Took him home, and came home myself.

This morning I was up at 6 to be at the drive-in at 7 for... work, lol. I have a job! Sort of. I'm there Sundays from 7 in the morning until whenever they decide to close. There's this flea market that goes on at the drive-in on Sunday mornings, so they open up the snack bar. It was actually pretty fun. Depending on who from their regular staff comes back from college to work, I may wind up with some kind of a summer job there.

After the drive-in, I came home and showered, and then went to Alyssa's Communion party. It was kind of fun, but after about an hour and a half I had to leave because I couldn't breathe. Just about everyone there smoked. So I came home, changed my shirt, and washed my hair out.

Mike called to go to band practice (rescheduled for today). Got to his house, and Casey, Sarah, and Johnson were all there because Casey was going around picking everyone up. John and Mike came in my car and we headed to Casey's house. They practiced as I listened, "hiding in the dark" as Casey said. They started making up a new song, then and there, so it was pretty cool. And they've also decided to drop their name of Seventh Day because there's a Christian rock band with that name. So they're negotiating what it should be now, and it looks like it's going to be Rising Empathy.

After the neighbor called Casey's house and complained about the noise, Mike and I headed back to his house. Just as we got in the door, it started to pour!! It was awesome! I love the rain. We hung out at his house and mostly just BSed for a while. After I said my good-byes and harassed his brother a little bit, I headed home.

As much as I love the rain, I hate driving in it at night. I was so scared I was going to hit something. But I arrived home safe and sound. Back to the regular school day tomorrow.
