A Big Hello!
Welcome to mwexplosion. This community started out as a place to hold the McKay/Weir fanfiction novel/novella writing event, but has evolved into more than that. The plan is to also hold monthly - perhaps twice monthly in some case - such as icon, wallpaper, banner and vidding competitions. We may also hold larger scale competition, such as a last icon maker standing (LIMS) contest once the main event has ended for 2008.
Details and signups for the writing event will be posted this month with the schedule tentatively set for either July or more likely a August start. If anyone is interested in a summer round for the novel/novella writing and has a preference, please let us know. The longest round is 4 months to write a novel (60,000 words), though we also have novel rounds lasting 2 months, or you can try for a novella in either 1 or 2 months. We shall also have signups for accompanying art and vids, rounds for those set for September and November if July start goes ahead. Meanwhile, check out the first challenge - our "Rising" icontest.
