work has been moving me indoors and i think i will remember this summer the best job i ever had.

when the sun is low, 9th street & 7 ave looks like an edward hopper painting; homes off prospect park sw are gray and pumicey but the insides would appear to be mother of pearl; only friendly, bustling cafes exist in cobble hill; unpopulated, unpretty gowanus is serene in the middle of the day; the silent dusk and wind blown rubbish in red hook reminds me of a small, rustbelt town; ft greene park is like an oak and brownstone coliseum; vinegar hill has ghosts from the 1800s, im not even JK; dumbo is actually a mock up of vancouver, bc; brooklyn hts is already out of a dream and then it goes and has street names like pineapple and cranberry; carrol street btw smith and hoyt in carroll gardens is the prettiest block in all of manhattan, brooklyn and queens; bay ridge at night feels nestled at the foot of a black velvet curtain at the edge of the world; the sea never looks more expansive than from coney island on a gray day in october; the boardwalk at the top of flushing meadows park that views shea stadium, the lirr, the yard for the 7 train, the observation towers, the unisphere and arthur ashe makes me feel like im in a garish, felliniesque monument valley and every object in the landscape correlates to part of my psyche. tompkins square park and the les at night are the only things i really like about manhattan anymore.
