Ian's surgery went well. He had some breathing issues but it wasn't anything too serious. The doctor said it was good we had the surgery done apparently his tonsils were huge and his adenoids pretty massive as well. Coming out of the anesthesia was..difficult..but third time's a charm. By the third wake up he was happy and ready to be up. I think his body just takes longer to process it and he needs to sleep longer and they need to just leave him alone (as much as they can I mean I know they have things they have to do medically). He's also a funny kid, they offered him a popsicle or a slushie but he wanted none of it..he wanted...water! So he drank a bunch of water and then some apple juice. The apple juice (especially really cold) seems to really help him. They also gave him a perscription for liquid lortab which I made sure to have flavored as
tigrrgrr was kind enough to let me know on its own it tastes like "liquid ass". The thought of struggling with him to take something like that was not fun, so yay Harmon's for grape bubblegum flavoring! We're at home now and he's watching Sprout and having fun. He thinks it's hilarious that he gets to stay all day in his space pjs. We're stocked on soup, soft bread, popsicles, and lots of apple juice and jello...so here's to hoping recovery goes well!
