Apparently, when the cops do it it's not intimidation...
I *always* donate to the police..however this year the firemen beat them to the punch. So I apologized and said, sorry not this year. The guy said "that's OK I'll call back in a couple of days". I explained that wasn't going to change my mind, I wasn't going to donate and he said, "we find that if we keep calling back every couple of days people finally realize what a worthy cause it is and decide to donate". WTF? Donation via intimidation? I don't think so. Just guaranteed that I'm done donating..m'kay thanks muchly. Oh and if they continue to call then I start the round of calls to make the harassment stop. Just because you are calling on behalf of the police does NOT mean you are allowed to harass me, ever.
