Productive...
So it's been a good day. We did our normal stuff, then went to DG, then came home and ate lunch and I did some scrapbooking (I was wrong I was all the way back in April NOW I'm up to May ack!) then when the boys got up we went out and attacked the backyard. I weeded & miracle grow (grewed?) my rose bushes and weeded the vegetable garden and deadheaded my roses and harvested my lavender. Holy lavender batman! My nice shed out back is very full of the stuff. I harvested as much in this one harvest as I did in 3 harvests last year. And I got a whole bunch of the French lavender too! So yay! It's drying now. I'd like to start harvesting/drying some of my roses for scent too but I'm not sure how to go about it (like how to best dry them at what point to harvest etc, so I'm going to have to become one with the googlefoo tonight).
When Bruce gets home I'm going to make him help me gather up some of the stray yard waste. Then he has appointments tonight, hopefully just a couple so that we can maybe work on the front yard a bit or just have some fun with the boys. But whatever happens at least the boys & I have had fun today (except for a minor incident at DG with Connor who did NOT want to be part of class today *sigh*). So yay! Maybe tomorrow I'll get the front yard or maybe the inside worked on :) We'll see. Anyway hope everyone's had a good start to their week!
