A week and a half ago at MFF, I watched the DJs spinning tunes for the dances, and for the hundredth time, asked myself if I could do that. Probably not. Oh, I may submit a mix to the
furrydjs list one of these days, but I don't have near as much knowledge of or exposure to the kind of house, electronica, and techno remixes that their sets mostly consist

What's more in demand is a DJ who can spin real tunes in a way that keeps a crowd on it's feet. And I've been doing that since the 70's with just 2 turntables and a Radio Shack mixer.
Well, carting around 12 crates of LP's and 20 boxes of 45's was a bit of a pain. These days all that fits on one hard drive, along with the mixer. Doesn't look as cool though. The rest are correct. I could nitpick a couple of them but none are off by enough not to give you credit for them.
I suppose another reason I don't do live DJing is that I don't have any of my own audio equipment beyond my computer speakers, and the computer is a minitower unit that weighs a ton and is a pain to take anywhere. I plan to get nicer soundcard and speakers for my own listening at some point, probably not until I get moved into a house.
