TV Guide Interview

TV Guide interview with MW, not your usual press interview, more personal questions than NCIS related in it (and sorry, julchen0707 , you're not going to like the "NCIS" part LOL)... but that's it:

In Focus: NCIS' Michael Weatherly Is Happy Being the Second Banana )

I really like this article. I especially love the seriousness of it. Plus the Star Wars lover in me appreciates the Millennium Falcon reference so much.

It's really different from a lot of articles/interview. we get a glimpse of (maybe) the true MW.

ah ah I love that he really is a movie buff in real life. :D

Right?! I so agree. And I loved learning MW likes watching movies/TV shows with the commentary (from another article - from last May?). :)

being a commentary lover myself I squeed like a silly fangirl when I've read that. - I don't recall the article either - but he stated it again in one of the NCIS commentary too - :)

*lol* I read the NCIS part twice now and he's still my favourite ;)

They're both the No. 2 guy

Somehow I disagree. At least for Tony. Sure Gibbs is the team leader but without DiNozzo (or Abby, Ducky, McGee or even Ziva, for that matter) there would be no No. 1 guy. And while I adore Abby and I can't get enough of Ducky's tales and I love how McGee's changed into a really cool guy - whenever I see Gibbs and Tony walk side by side or talk about important things all I see are two equal agents and more important two equal men.

That said...

I was the kid with long hair and glasses and acne trying to learn how to play guitar and piano in the music center.

Not sure why, but *that's* something I totally can imagine *g*

that's why S1-S2 are my favorite, among other things. they were more equals and Tony never acted like he feared to stand up and talk in gibbs face if he needed too. then they passed that role to the directors. *is sad*

He was a glee-like boy! and look how it turned out instead :D

yeah remember a couple scenes .. some of them in the last few episodes actually. When I watched season 4 the first time I was really annoyed with all the tension between Tony and Gibbs and how DiNozzo tried to cope with the fact that he wasn't in charge anymore. But last night I had a movie night (well.. NCIS night gg) with couple of friends and we watched these episodes and I was "GO Tony!" He's a capable leader and a good boss I think... But somehow I'm off topic. Sorry!

discussing about leader!Tony is never OT for me :)

in the JAG episodes G & T were almost equals, they toned down it a little but the mutual respect was there in the early season.

And it's probably a very unpopular opinion but I would have loved more leader!tony episodes at the start of s4.....
