The things people ask...
Today a young woman came to the counter to ask my advice about a present for a bridal shower. She showed me the copy of the Kama Sutra with explicit photos (from behind our covered XXX rated shelves), and asked if I thought this was a suitable gift. I asked how well she knew the bride, and she said she had only met her once! She works with the groom.
Hmmm. I suggested this book (a small book from our humor section) or perhaps a cookbook would be better. She clearly didn't think that was a great idea (perhaps its a generational thing). Later she came back to show me her choice from another store: a basket full of lotions and soaps. I applauded her selection. She left happy.
