I enjoy getting acceptence letters from schools to which I did not apply.
Example:
Dear Timothy,
Congratulations again on your acceptance to Marymount University! Selecting a college is a tough choice and we would like to provide you with as many resources as possible to guide you through your decisions, and hopefully give you a chance to get those last minute questions answered.
One of the ways to get your questions answered or to get a chance to meet your future classmates is through our Message Board for Admitted Students. It’s a great way to connect with the Class of 2010!
Apparently there are some schools that you don't even need to apply to to get in.
It was then followed by:
Dear Timothy,
Please accept my apologies - it has come to my attention that you have inadvertently received a Marymount email intended for accepted seniors. In fact, you were supposed to receive an email inviting you to a message board for prospective MU students.
Does that tell you something about a school if they don't even know how to send out emails to the correct people...?
