I'm getting a "DNS query failed" error when I try to connect to IRC. It is rather lame. I assume that's a problem on my end, not a server issue?

Try connecting to the unresolved IP.
/server 208.57.132.185
or
/server 207.145.6.5

No dice-- I just get connection timed out, now. I checked what ports are open on the two FDF servers so that's not the issue. This is annoying because I was able to connect using this computer yesterday (once I looked up the ports, anyway) and have never had a problem with my laptop, which was hooked upto the college network in the same manner. Bah!

Tried mibbit or the java client?

Java doesn't work. I haven't tried mibbit because I don't really know what that is, but I did try mIRC as well (since I'm more familiar with it) and that dosn't want to play either. I'll have my laptop in tomorrow, so I'll have a look and see if I can narrow the problem down a little.
