So last night was full of fun and excitiment. We are still in Alexandria, LA at the base camp. About 830pm last night we had just finished dinner and were all sitting around joking and talking when they called all the big wigs into the command center. Moments later we were all told we were not allowed to return to our ambulances and to seek shelter because there is a tornado heading right for us. So we were all herded little cattle into horse stables. 45 minutes later we were given the all clear and allowed to return to our ambulance. Then we got to experiance the same warning at 445 this morning. I was sleeping in the front seat of the ambulance when I was woken by someone yelling "everyone inside a tornado is coming!" Let me just say that is not a good way to wake up. That warning was in effect for about an hour and a half. We were then cleared back to our ambulances again. I have never seen so much rain, wind and lightening in my life. And the thunder,my god it was like cannon fire
