Busy busy busy these past few days! On last Friday, I was SO tired! I only got 2 1/2 hours the night before, and not due to the baby...it was Katie! She just would not sleep that night. Still don't know what her deal was, but thank goodness that she doesn't do that too often! She was such a little monster that next day (I do say this lovingly :-)). In the morning while I was nursing the baby, she managed to figure out how to unlock the door to the garage and go out there and play in the dog food. Then later on that day she, in the short time that it took me to wash out the pump pieces after pumping mikl that Dani didn't finish from her meal, took off all the tubing from my pump, accidentally breaking on of the tubes! Fortunately though, I was able fto fix that. It was just a really long day overall!
Saturday was a really good day! Saturday was Kyle's and Natalie's birthday party! Everyone showed up around noon. For the first hour, we let the kids play in the backyard on our play structure and such. We also grilled burgers and hot dogs for lunch, and made cotton candy with the cotton candy machine. At 1pm, the clown came and did his magic show for an hour, and then painted the kid's faces for the second hour, during which time, the kids who were waiting to have their faces painted, made a dolidoscope (sp) craft. Then for the last hour, was cake and ice cream and presents. It turned out to be a really awesome party and all of the kid and their guests had a really great time!
Sunday was a pretty low dey day. We spent the day outside again, playing with the kids new presents that they received (they got a lot of outdoor stuff, including the new bike that we got Natalie and the pogo stick that we got Kyle). We did end up going out shopping for some new shoes for me as I really needed some new ones. You know that you need new shoes when you get rocks in the bottom of your shoes because the sole is falling off, lol! I just never get anything for myself until I absolutely have to. I always get stuff for the kids first. But it was time, lol.
Yesterday was Danielle's 2 week check up! Again, I can't believe just how fast the time is going. I think tha tit's going by so fast simply because she is our last one! Her appointment was very exciting...she has grown so much! She is up to 8 lbs 10 oz, and 21 1/2 inches long! That's over a whole pound since birth and an inch and a half! I love seeing her grow...and it's all because of me! I love the joy of being a mom who can provide for her babies all herself with no problem. I am really lucky...there are so many other women who have trouble or who can't for some reason or another. I am really blessed!
Natalie also got her 5 year immunizations yesterday as well. She had to get four of them, and she did awesome! She didn't flinch, cry or anything! Totally showed Kyle up from when he got his shots last year! He cried and actually almost fainted! All weekend, Kyle was teasing Natalie, telling her how bad the shots were going to hurt and how she was going to cry. Natalie kept getting so mad at him, telling him that she was going to be brave and not going to cry. She was so proud of herself when she got home from schoool yesterday and got to tell Kyle that she didn't cry or scram! It was really cute, lol. After the doctors, I went to the elementary school and got Natalie all registered for Kindergarten next year. She's super excited! Last night, the kids and I went out for dinner with the PCB at a nice little terryaki (sp) restaurant. I love this place and really enjoyed my dinner!
Today's been a pretty low key day. Nowhere to go today other than to get Kyle to and from the bus stop for school. There is some laundry and dishes that should be done, but aren't really in the "need to be done" stage yet, so I think that I'm going to let them go for another day or so...I know I'm being lazy. I hope that all of you are doing well. :-)
