Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!

Jul 16, 2005 23:53

Much time has passed since I have blessed you all with a witty and wildly entertaining post. Oh wait...I have YET to do anything of the kind. Well, anyway its been a while but first and foremost:

The latest installment of miss Joanne (Kathleen) Rowling's series has just been released. I'm sure everyone knows this but I have been waiting for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to come out for quite some time now! Some of my theories were correct (mostly based on leaks of chapter title's and whatnot). I know I'm a dork but I LOVED reading it. Now I have to wait for the last book. Haha I'm sure Bethany cried at a certain person's death. Very sad, very sad :(

Okay let's rewind a little as I'm sure nobody wants to discuss the plot of this book.

Friday Josh and I had decided to go to the movies. Actually we went to two movies practically in a row. My pictureless library card worked as student I.D. Anyway, it got my mind of the book a bit, and we haven't been to the movies in FOREVER! We saw Batman (Forever...heh...play on words there *Shakes head with disappointed at my own lack of joke-telling ability*), which I thought was very well done, in fact I was a bit more scared than I had expected.

After that we went to see Bewitched! I really liked it, it was a very fun movie. There were a few parts I think I could've played very well (they were all stupid sounding things haha) The two movies were totally different from one another, but I'm glad we ended with that one because it was afterall, not nearly as dark as Batman *Shivers at a particularly disgusting scene or two* Haha it was a fun night though. A lot of sitting in the theater but that didn't really seem to bother me! It was nice going out with Josh though, we usually stay in.

After the movie we stopped at Kroger because it was near midnight at like I mentioned earlier Harry Potter was to be released then. Hehe yes we both bought copies at midnight. Amanda teased us today. Haha no I wouldn't consider it a party, there were maybe 15 people also there buying the book. You had to get the Kroger plus card (for free) to get the discount. So Josh did and he gave me one of the little ones. We bought it and went back to my house. We passed Meijer on the way and it was PACKED! Glad we didn't bother going there to get the book.

Back at my house we eventually settled into bed (sounds hot right...yeah) and we read. Haha he read the first Harry Potter book while I read the 6th! He's a bit behind hehe, although now he is most of the way through the second book. He slept and I stayed up til about 4:30 then decided I should get some sleep whether I wanted to or not. I made breakfast (very yummy!) and then we spent a lot more time reading. I finished the 6th book a few hours ago. Well under 24 hours. Not sure how many exactly, as it got interrupted.

Adam's graduation party! We couldn't stay long because I had to grandpa sit. My mom had to work and whatnot. Also our house is leaking :( its a sad state of affairs. We did eat and play a pathetic game of frisbee hehe, that is an awesome frisbee though. Mr. Schreiber was there, heh. Didn't talk to him much at all. I'm sure the party was great--despite the bad weather.

I'm sure people will skip right over this considering it talks so much about Harry Potter! I am a dork. Oh yeah that's the reason people will skip this post.

So things at school are going fine EXCEPT for the fact that my teacher attempted to changed my grade only something has gone wrong because it doesn't appeared change when I check it and thusly am not technically in my new math class. Although the teacher knows this and will stand up for me. OH! I have an A in there so far. Haha I got an "A+" on my first test in there. And we get to have notes on some of our tests. I think I'll do better this time around.

I got tired of waiting around for OCC to fix this stupid problem so I sent State an e-mail explaining the problem and gave them my unofficial transcripts and whatnot. So we'll see what they have to say. As for me, this is all I have to say for now. I'm quite bored now that I'm done reading...haha later!
