Today I went to the protest in San Francisco against HR 4437, the anti-immigration/immigrant/anyone that helps immigrants bill
I went to first period at school, then left and went on BART to the embarcadero in SF. When I got there at 10, there were probably five thousand people there. They had a stand and there were different people going up there and speaking.
By the time we started marching down market street at 11:30, i couldn't see how many people there were. I have no idea if this is correct, but i would not be surprised AT ALL if there were 100,000 people (and i think that's a safe guess). Market street (the main street in San Francisco), was completely full with protesters for about 6 or 7 city blocks. it was awesome
here are the pictures I took. It was hard to get pictures of the entire group, so most of my pictures are of the signs people made. The signs were amazing, many of them really touching.
