View from my daughter's window when she lived in York - this was the first tiny dusting of snow of her last winter - so November 2010
There are a lot of the Knavesmire in deep snow taken a couple of weeks later, too!

Quite a long time ago my Mum had a couple of cats who walked on leads - and another who refused totally, and would just roll onto her back and dare you to drag her.
D-d lived in the attic of a large house on Tadcaster Road - just about opposite the grandstand, as you can see. I thought, from your original description, that you probably lived over on the Bishopthorpe Road side - in which case she had a friend who lived within 3 or 4 minutes walk of your new home. D-d was at the College of Law for those last two years - so quite close to you, I reckon.
We're on Albemarle road, so technically the wind comes across the Knavesmire, struggles up the hill of the Little Knavesmire, and is dashed furious by the time it reaches our house!
Pots in the side yard, second spring, when I was still trying to keep on top of the pots

Our house is probably just off to the left of the picture, but it's difficult to tell, behind the trees.
