Holy cow. I can't... I can't even put into words what I think about this piece.
First of all, gap-toothed Sirius and Mama!Lily in striped pajamas. These things are cute. Nothing else is cute. Everything else is heartbreaking. This is a beautiful and painful and powerful look through Remus' eyes at the events that led up to the Potters' deaths and Sirius' supposed betrayal. Wow. The characterisation of Remus is phenomenal, and the use of black and color in the art is really striking. Not to mention the lyrical prose, with such a strong rhythm. Ugh. I can't handle it.
