(no subject)
I have left Pekanbaru. It was much harder than I thought and well ya... I don't know what to say about that, but it was hard to keep it together. So after that I spent several days in Jakarta with the new volunteers who will be here for 1 or 2 years. Then off to Bali again where I hung out with college students doing a internship on VIA's summer program. So I've had an awsome time hanging out with Americans. Now I'm on the island of Gilli Trawangan. I took a 5 hour crazy boat ride over many waves to get here and it has far more tourists than I ever imagined. I feel like Leonardo Di Caprio in The Beach (Note: the books way better than the movie). I've seen an island in the distance that I think I could swim too... Anyway I expected to hate this island after seeing all the tourists, but it is indeed quite beautiful. I've already circled it by bike as well.
