So I think I explained before what a Jilbab is. Its a head covering that most (not every) Muslim women wears here. It covers your neck and hair, but not your face. Anyway my awsome friend Julie who wears a Jilbab told me she often listens to her walkman under her Jilbab during boring meetings and stuff like that. Its like the Jilbab finally found a purpose for me. The most brilliant way ever of getting away with listening your ipod at anytime. I mean not that I'd wear one, but I finally found a bennefit.

So I have a fun sample question from my recent final in American Literature:
In The Sun Also Rises:
A.) empty people aimlessly pursue pleasure in Spain
B.) everyone gets married
C.) everyone lives happily ever after
D.) the sun crashes into the earth and causes the end of the world

So its pretty obvious that I intended the final answer to be a joke cause I couldn't think of a good fake answer yet more than one person circled it as the correct answer. I was like wow it seems that some people have no idea what I'm saying. Saddness in teaching. But at least like 2 people got only one wrong (there are only 7 people in the class) on the test so yay someone learned.

I've tried to stop caring what people think of me here. I mean they stare at me no matter what I do. Its unavoidable cause I'm not Indonesian. For instance today I played Dance Dance Revolution at the mall and it was great and I knew people were strarring, but I didn't care. Plus I was awsome.

I've had the same songs on my ipod for over 6 months. No way to add more. I mean I've had some lovely people send me cds and I've bought a few (they have lots of popular music on cheap mp3 cds that are cheap although limited - I'm listening to the alternative mix right now that has everything from the Backstreet Boys to the Ramones - Never thought the Backstreet boys could be considered alternative - They should be called the Well-litstreet boys really - I'm so funny.....) but I can only play them in my DVD player and thus aren't as versitile as the amazing ipod. Most songs on my ipod have a connotation and they all remind me of something else. I mean this is expected I suppose. Kinda like a constant reminder of the past with no way to move forward. Just wanted to share.

On Friday I'm going to Manado which is on another island for a week with my friend Sky. Should be awsome although we had originally planned on going to Flores. That didn't work out. There is a story involved, but it makes me angry and tired so I'll leave it out for now. No Komodo dragons this time. Eh, Manado has Tasiers and more cool monkeys. Yay Manado!!!
