Hiawatha I'm Not
i spent the day after work yesterday floating down the Huron River in an inner tube with my hair dipped in the water and a cigarette balanced on my chest, leaving a little smoke trail behind me like i was my own little Mississippi riverboat. the sun was shining on the branches and it looked really cool upside down as i was, just sorta drifting along on a day highly suggestive of fall approaching. i thought about football season. i wished my girl was here to appreciate the weather and experience. but mostly, i just relaxed and didn't think about anything. just kinda stared at the sky and felt the water slowly moving me along.
