(no subject)
What a morning. First off, Jack had to go see his specialist in Detroit today, so he had to get up at 6:30. I didn't have to get up until 7:30, but I was wide awake by 6:00. I was sweating my ass off because the fan was turned off. Apparently we lost power during the night. I noticed that the lights were dim yesterday. So Jack's dad calls the power company, they say they'll be out to check it. In the meantime, don't use anything that requires a lot of power. This means I can't use my hair dryer because it would blow a fuse, and I would be the only one at the house. So, the only thing I could run was the fan. Ever tried to dry your hair standing in front of a fan? It took about a half hour to dry it. It doesn't look too shabby though.
The real kicker, the dog stepped in a big pile of crap when I let her out. I let her back in, gave her the usual treats, then it hit me. The smell was awful. I have no idea what she ate, but it smelled like death. It was all over the carpet and on her dog bed. So I spent a good ten minutes disinfecting the carpet and taking the cover off her bed. I've never smelled dog poop that bad. I think it was the chicken treats.
Hmm, cooked placenta yesterday, dog poop today, I can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store.
