So far my classes are 2:1 awesome. I have renewed hope in my English major. Let's see how long this lasts.

Since the first day of campus yesterday, UW's "Dawg Daze" has brought to Red Square a hiphop troupe, food vendors galore, all the student assocs and crazy people with cameras. Not to mention the horrendous mass of kids that clog up every available walking path (except the grass HAHA!).

In my English Quiz class we were lined up like convicts in the front of the room in groups of four, handed a sheet of paper with our name on it, then the TA took our pictures. It seems all the rage in the classes nowadays - my history class last year did it as well, only we did it ala-myspace-esque with a numbered sheet, our names in order as we passed the camera around the room. I don't buy this "bad-stalker-memory" thing the teachers have going. My English TA yesterday, after five minutes of listening to us drone on endlessly about our planned majors, listed the entire room off the back of his head. STOP TAKING MY MUG SHOTS DAMMIT.

Currently I'm in the UW's computer room, where the freshmen have luckily not discovered for gaming as of yet. Next week I predict a free-for-all. Like with the UW bookstore, homg.
