(no subject)
Right as I sit down to write this, I realized that I forgot to eat dinner today - so this update won't be too long or interesting.
Car: After much hassle, AAMCO refuses to take responsiblity for breaking my radiator, and the auto store only will replace it if the damage was normal wear & tear - not AAMCO punching a screw through the radiator. So I had a few choices: (1) fix the radiator myself, (2) buy a new radiator, (3) take AAMCO to small claims court and get them to buy me a new radiator. Choice 3 is - in an ideal world - what I'd do, just out of the principle of the thing, but it would take way too long and it would end up costing more than the price of a new radiator. So instead my dad and I repaired it ourselves and reinstalled the radiator tonight. I test-drove my car a bit and it seemed okay, but tomorrow morning when I go to drive myself to work, we'll see if it leaked. If it still is leaking, my parents said they'll finally get me a birthday present and buy me a new radiator.
Courtyards: Barring any major incident, I will be moving into Courtyards in Sunday, even if my radiator leaks. I'll just swap out the radiator in the parking lot, and if Courtyards doesn't like it, too bad. The apartment should be a lot of fun, plus it'll be nice to hang out with everyone from College Park that I haven't talked with all summer.
Only five more days until I get to see Holly!! I can't wait. I know it's not as bad as Meggie and Chris's situation, but still. I'm not used to this whole "see Holly only once every few weeks" deal and I don't like it. Thankfully the summer is almost over and I can get back to the "see her every day" habit. :-D
