[Dying and coming back without her memories is by far the most disorienting experience of Jael's life. It took her a week after dying to revive, and she stayed shut up in her room for the three days it took to recover her memories, only leaving in the middle of the night long enough to find food.
So now Jael has left the confines of her room to eat more than just what she needed to survive, trying as hard as possible to avoid any contact whatsoever with the other guests; she doubts this avoidance will work but it's worth a try.

I am sorry for anyone I hurt while infected. I'm glad I didn't kill you but I doubt being left alive was any better.
I know apologies are not enough to make up for what I did, but they are all I can offer.
